Plan Overview
The Bucks County 2026 Hazard Mitigation Plan Update will promote pre- and post- disaster mitigation measures, short/long rang strategies that minimize suffering, loss of life and damage to property resulting from hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions to which citizens and institutions within the County are exposed; and to eliminate or minimize conditions which would have an undesirable impact on our citizens, the economy, environment and well-being of the County.
The emergency management community, citizens, elected officials and other stakeholders in the County recognize the impact of disasters on their community and support proactive efforts needed to reduce the impact of natural and human-caused hazards.
Municipal Surveys
Please review and return the following surveys:
The Capability Assessment Survey will allow the planning team better knowledge of municipal capabilities, existing plans and ordinances, and available staff and technical assistance to support hazard mitigation in your communities.
The Hazard Identification Survey will help the planning team to identify hazards impacting your jurisdictions, understand vulnerabilities associated with these hazards, and learn about your ground-level experience of hazards county-wide.
We would appreciate your attention to these documents and responses to our team by March 17, 2025.
