QAPC Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Quakertown Borough Hall, located at 35 North Third Street, Quakertown, PA.

The Quakertown Area Planning Committee (QAPC) is a joint planning group consisting of six municipalities in the Upper Bucks County region (the townships of Haycock, Milford and Richland and the boroughs of Quakertown, Richlandtown and Trumbauersville) and the Quakertown Community School District. The QAPC has the longest history of any joint planning group in the state and has a long list of accomplishments since its formation in 1972.
The QAPC was established for the purpose of exchanging information and ideas and for promoting regional cooperation. The group has tackled a variety of planning issues including land use, transportation and open space as well as the provision of other services and facilities. The benefits to a regional approach to planning have been substantial. The discussion of mutual problems and potentials as well as goals for the future has increased each member’s ability to deal with change. The potential impacts of one municipality’s actions on its neighbors have been discussed and resolved. And, intermunicipal cooperation has made it possible to effectively plan for major improvements that involve more than one municipality.
The QAPC reviews ordinance amendments, proposals for major subdivisions and land developments, and conditional use applications and special exception requests at its monthly meetings. The QAPC also prepares an annual report which details the Committee’s activities.
Membership: Two members from each municipality-one elected official and one planning commission member. School district has one member.
